This is the ineterior of a small Greek Orthodox church in Hersonissos in Crete, which is dedicated to Ag.(Saint) Paraskevi. The church has been hand carved out of the stone/cliff and is a fully working church, which has 2 serving Fathers. As we have a fellow student with the same name as that of the church, I thought I would share. This is a beautiful church which is most cherished by its’ local community. The church is very small, dark and unbelievably hot. The Saint after which the church is named has its’ Ikon next to Jesus Christ on the Iconostasis and is the last of the 5 images you can see on there. I had to used my flash to get any sort of image in the church, as can be seen by the highlights on the largest icon of Christ on the central Royal Door.
